David Parker (sound engineer)

David Parker ( born 1951 ) is an American sound engineer, who twice won the Academy Award for Best Sound and has been nominated a further five times.

Since 1980 he has worked on more than 150 productions. In 1984, he was first nominated for an Academy Award, his first award in 1998 for the literary adaptation The English Patient. In 2008 he was able to win the Oscar for spy film The Bourne Ultimatum again. This film brought him together with his colleagues a also a BAFTA Award and Satellite Award.
