David Selbourne

David Selbourne ( * 1937 ) is a British historian and writer who lives in Italy. With the book, The Losing Battle with Islam, he caused a stir. He also published an alleged travel diary of a Jewish merchant on the Silk Road from the 13th century, Jacob of Ancona: The City of Light. The hidden journal of the Man who Entered China four years before Marco Polo. His absurd claim about the origin of the source is kept constant for a marketing ploy and a spoof of the audience. In one of the newspapers for which he sometimes writes about the current internal politics of the country, the British " Daily Telegraph ", but there is a top commentator named " Matthew d' Ancona ".
