David Shiffman

David Schiffman (Hebrew דוד שיפמן, born April 14, 1923 in Warsaw, Poland, † October 18, 1982 in Israel) was an Israeli politician. He was in the 19th Government of August 11, 1981 to October 18, 1982 Deputy Minister of Transport in Israel. He was member of the Knesset of the Likud from 1981 until his death on 18 October 1982. His place was taken by Ariel Weinstein.

Life

At the age of two, he emigrated with his family to Palestine, where he was educated in the yeshiva. He then attended the teacher training college in Jerusalem. He was a member of the Bnei Akiva youth movement and founded the Ben Akiva Kfar Haroeh later (Hebrew כְּפַר הָרֹאֶ " ה, lit. Haroeh Village, HRAH is an acronym for HaRav Avraham HaCohen Kook ). During his military service in the Israel Defense Forces was he in the military police (Hebrew חֵיל הַמִּשְׁטָרָה הַצְּבָאִית, healing HaMishtara HaTzva'it ).
