David Strang

David Strand ( David Maxwell strand; born December 13, 1968) is a former British middle distance runner.

At the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland he left about 800 meters into the semifinals and won with the Scottish team silver in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

In 1993 he won at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Toronto Silver 1500 m. About the same distance he won the following year, at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Paris, and was in each case at the Twelfth European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and the Commonwealth Games in Victoria.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, he retired more than 800 m from each in the flow.
