David Wiesner

David Wiesner ( born February 5, 1956 in Bridgewater, New Jersey) is an American illustrator and writer.

Life

Wiesner graduated from the Rhode Iceland School of Design in 1978 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. In 1980 the first illustrated book he with Honest Andrew by Gloria Skurzynski. Wiesner is one of the authors who have so far received the Caldecott Medal three times.

David Wiesner lives with his wife, Kim Kahng, and their two children in Milwaukee / Wisconsin.
