Davy (crater)

Alan is a small impact craters on the lunar front side. He is part of the crater chain Catena Davy, the direction through the interior of the crater Davy Y runs in a northeasterly, which lies to the east of Mare Cognitum.

The indicating by name goes back to an originally informal title on leaf 77D1/S1 the Topophotomap Maps by NASA, which has been adopted by the IAU in 1976.
