Daydream Nation is a Canadian film drama from the year 2010. Michael Goldbach wrote the screenplay and directed the film. In Germany, the film had its television premiere on January 30, 2013, the pay TV channel Sky Cinema.
Action
The 17 -year-old Caroline Wexler moves in with her father from the big city to a small village in the middle of nowhere. With her classmates she has her opinion, nothing in common, so she turns to her teacher, Mr. Anderson, whom she feels connected with the intention of him to work for them. However, her classmate Thurston has great interest in Caroline, which leads to the fact that quite a strange triangular relationship develops.

In 2012, Daydream Nation was nominated for five Leo Awards, among others in the category for Best Cinematography. This award was Jon Joffin win. In the same year Daydream Nation for the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards was nominated in the category Best Film British Columbia. The award went to the film People of a Feather.
