Dayton Triangles

The Dayton Triangles were an existing since 1913 football team, which played in the National Football League from 1920 to 1929.

The home of the Dayton Triangles, as the name suggests, Dayton, Ohio been. The nickname came from the Triangles Triangle Park, which was located near the stadium. The first game of the American Professional Football Association, the forerunner of the NFL, was held on October 3, 1920 in Triangle Park between the Dayton Triangles and the Columbus panhandles. The game won the Triangles with 14:0. The sponsor of the Dayton Triangles was the Laboratiories Engineering Co. ( Delco ), Dayton Metal Products (DMP Co.) and the Domestic Engineering Company ( DECO, later Delco -light ). 1930 the team was sold and renamed the Brooklyn Dodgers.
