The Gjaltema Stadium aan de Langeleegte is a football stadium in the northern Dutch town of Veendam, Groningen province. The football club SC Veendam welcomes guests to the games here. Since 1 July 2008, the stadium is named after the sponsors Gjaltema in his name.

History

The stadium was opened under the name Sportpark De Langeleegte 1954. His name has the facility of the road on which it lies. Langeleegte called in the German language translates to " Long emptiness". In 1998, the stadium has undergone an extensive renovation. On this day, there is the venue of two, increased to about three feet grandstands along the playing field and two single storey landscaped Located behind. Behind the grandstand to the south is an extension which is provided for support of the sponsors and VIP guests. On the four grandstands to 6,500 covered seats are distributed. Guests will find fans behind the goal in the west area.
