History

De Staat was originally a one-man project of singer Torre Florim, who founded the band. Their first demo they recorded in 2007 Florim apartment. Even before she signed a record deal, they were a well-known band, as their performances were very well received in the Netherlands. They were also the opening act of the Belgian band dEUS.

The band signed a record deal in 2008 and released in early 2009, their debut album, Wait For Evolution on which composes all songs Florim themselves and were produced. He wrote the album as a final project for his music production studies. He not only produced his own album itself, the debut album by the Dutch band Go Back To The Zoo was produced in 2008 by him. Within a year, rose to De State of awareness and they played at festivals such as Glastonbury, Sziget and Lowlands. At the Lowlands Festival they were discovered by Chris Goss, who introduced Mascot Records, followed in 2010 her album Wait For Evolution was released internationally.

The band released since then in March 2011, their second album, Machinery and in September 2013 the third plant I_CON.
