Dean O'Gorman

Dean O'Gorman ( born December 1, 1976 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand actor.

Life

He began at the age of 14 years with acting and appeared in numerous New Zealand and Australian productions. In the well-known American fantasy series Hercules and Xena - Warrior Princess, which were filmed in New Zealand, he has performed in various roles. Also in the series Farscape, Moonlight and McLeod's Daughters he had already seen. In 2011, he landed a starring role in the fantasy series The Almighty Johnsons. On 1 May 2011 was director Peter Jackson on Facebook announced that O'Gorman would assume the role of Fili in the film adaptation of Tolkien's The Hobbit.

Dean O'Gorman graduated from Rangitoto College and has a black belt in karate.
