Dean Shiels (born 1 February 1985 in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland ) is a Northern Irish football player who is since 2012 in the Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Football League Third Division under contract.

Career

Association

Shiels played in youth the English top club Arsenal FC, came here in the first team but never used. In 2004, he joined the Scottish first division club Hibernian. In 2006, Shiels ' right eye was removed, the, had been blind since an accident when he was eight years old and had caused a headache. Shiels returned in the same season back in the squad and established himself in the following season 2006/ 07 back into the first team. This year, the Northern Irishman won the Scottish League Cup.
