Decatur Junction Railway

The Decatur Junction Railway (AAR reporting mark: DT) is an American shunting railway company in Illinois. The company is headquartered Assumption and belongs to Pioneer Railcorp.

The Company operates two 68 -kilometer former Illinois Central Railroad tracks, from Decatur (Illinois ) to the northeast by Cisco and south to Assumption. In Decatur, there is a transition to the Canadian National Railway as well as 13 kilometers of track rights over CN tracks that connect the two segments.

The route to Assumption is owned by the Central Illinois Shippers Inc. and the route to Cisco owned the Cisco Cooperative Grain. The latter route was operated from 1986 to 1993 by the Indiana Hi- Rail. Since 3 December 1993, the operation is performed by the Decatur Junction.

Most important transport goods are grain, fertilizer and wood.

The four locomotives ( three EMD GP 16, an EMD CF 7) and three employees carries about 3,000 freight cars.
