Decipol

A Dezipol, a term used in air conditioning technology, describes the perceived air quality. The statement provides an estimate of how many people the quality of the air in a room as if "bad" review. The unit was introduced by Ole Fanger. The Dezipol defined by an impurity of a room with a OLF which ten liters per second of fresh air be supplied to the mixing ventilation method.

Measurement

The Dezipol is measured with a Dezipolmeter. A Dezipolmeter consists of a glass in which a sample of material is (acetone and other odorants ), a fan to create airflow through the glass forces and a standardized funnel through which then the air escapes and can be recorded and evaluated by a subject. Size and shape of the glass, type of sample, air volume and other parameters are monitored to exclude influences on the result. A " scent organ " with several outlets serves as a " milestone ". Here different, but constant concentrations of each outlet acetone offered at different outlets, so that a comparative sample with these " milestones " can be compared.
