Deerhunter

Deerhunter is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar), Lockett Pundt (guitar), Josh Fauver (bass) and Moses Archuleta (drums). The band released four albums since its founding in 2001 and two EPs.

History

The band was founded in 2001 by Bradford Cox and Moses Archuleta. A little later, Colin Mee joined as a guitarist. After the death of her first bassist Justin Bosworth 2004 Joshua Fauver took its position. In 2005 they released their debut album Turn It Up Faggot. Then came Lockett Pundt, a high school friend of Cox added to the band. It followed the 2007 publication of the second album Cryptograms and Fluorescent Grey EP before mid-year Colin Mee got out of the band due to in-band disputes. After extensive tour in the fall of 2008, the third album Micro Castle in the form of a double album with the CD Weird Era Cont. published. After another tour followed in 2009, the EP Rainwater Cassette Exchange, before finally in 2010 their fourth album Halcyon Digest was published.
