Dekmanca

Dekmanca ( German: deckhand village ) is a village and part of the municipality of Bistrica ob Sotli in Slovenia. It lies in the historical region of Lower Styria to the Croatian border.

Geography

The urban area covers an area of ​​259 hectares, bordering the municipality of parts Srebrnik in the east, Križan Vrh in the south and to the belonging to the neighboring community Podčetrtek Lastnič in the northwest. In the north- east, the village hall affect the river Sotla, which marks the Slovenian- Croatian border here. Dekmanca is traversed in the northeastern area of ​​its district from the main road 219, an ancient trade route connecting the two cities under the Styrian Brežice / Rann and Slovenska Bistrica / Windisch Feistritzwerke.

History

The place is first documented in the May 12, 1351: " ... located NEWN lifted ze Dyetmarstorff because on zwayen lifted siczet Suppan Janes ... ". In 1404 it is mentioned: " ... eight lifted to Dyetmarstorff, ain muol VND drey hofstet ...", 1436: " ... eight Hueben ze Dietmansdorff bey the Zatel ... ". In the land register of the reign of King Mountain of 1566 is the settlement " Dietmansdorff " and as requiring tenth subjects are listed: " Michl Suppan, Martin Suppan, Wlaß, Urban Soritsch, Mathia ( and ) Mathia Soritsch ".

Also in the Josephine land survey (1784-1787), the settlement is mentioned: " ... The Dietmansdorff Haußer stand on some high ground, from which the road and fields bies Bach Szotla kenen be bestriechen ...
