DeLaval

DeLaval AB is a Swedish manufacturer of products for the Hofinnenwirtschaft and milk production. DeLaval has its headquarters in Tumba and is part of the Tetra Laval Group.

History

In 1883, Gustaf de Laval and Oscar Lamm its business partners founded the company AB Separator in Stockholm. By 1878 de Laval patented his development of Wilhelm Lefeldt 1877 invented milk slingshot. In the first year, the company produced 54 separators / milk centrifuges, of which it exported 37. 1889 acquired AB Separator patent for the Alfa- disc separator, from the inventor Clemens von Bechtolsheim. This was an important step for the company, since the own Separatorpatent expired and this new machine guaranteed approximately twice the performance of your product.

In order to test and develop new products under natural circumstances, bought AB Separator 1894 farm Hamra Gård in Tumba, south of Stockholm.
