Dele Aiyenugba

Bamidele " Dele " Mathew Aiyenugba ( born November 20, 1983 in Jos ) is a Nigerian football goalkeeper.

Career

Aiyenugba began playing football for the Nigerian club Kwara United, before joining FC Enyimba 2001. Here he was - as later in the Nigerian national team - representatives of Vincent Enyeama. In the years 2001, 2002 and 2003, the goalkeeper was able to celebrate with the club the championship in Nigeria. Furthermore, he could win the CAF Champions League in 2003 with a victory in the final against Egyptian club Ismaily SC. This success was repeated in 2004 and this year also and the African Super Cup was won. Through this twofold gain of the African Champions League, it brought Aiyenugba to a certain celebrity, especially Enyeama has only been used in these tournaments as a " Penalty Killer".

2007 Aiyenugba joined the Israeli club Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, where he acts again as a substitute of Enyeama.

His first cap for Nigeria, he played on 16 November 2005 in a game against Romania. Subsequently he was appointed irregular, but showed good performance when he was employed. Aiyenugba stood as the third goalkeeper in the Nigerian squad for the Soccer World Cup 2010 in South Africa and was expected to no use.
