Delight is a city in Pike County in the U.S. state of Arkansas. 2010, the population was 279, representing a slight decline since 1990. The total area of the city is almost 1.3 square kilometers.

Delight is part of the socio-economic region Ark- La -Tex, which includes parts of four states Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Demography

The 1990 Census showed that in 135 households, and 85 families 311 people lived, this corresponded to 261 people per square kilometer. 95.5 % of residents were white, 3.22% Native American, 0.96% Coloured, 0.32 % Asian and 0.32 % Hispanic or Latino. The mean age was 39 years, 100 females with the age of 18 years were about 80 men.

Personalities

The well-known, successful and 1967-1975 award-winning country singer Glen Campbell was born in Delight, as well as Scott Reeves, also a country singer and actor beyond. In addition, the former auditor and treasurer of the State of Arkansas, Gus Wingfield lived there.
