The transmitter Cyclops was a relay station Deutsche Welle for short and medium wave at Cyclops on Malta. It was located on the prominent headland in the eastern part of the island.

The transmitter Cyclops used as transmitting antennas for shortwave curtain antennas, which were suspended on three free-standing steel lattice towers and a log-periodic antenna. As a transmitting antenna for medium wave transmitter, which worked transmit power on the frequency 1557 kHz with 600 kilowatts, served a directional antenna, which consisted of two insulated against earth itself radiating steel truss masts. Unusually, they were braced with plastic parts made Parafil.

Originally, this antenna, which went into operation in 1974, from three per 88 meter high masts. However, one of the masts fell over after due to high field strengths of the guy ropes had snapped and also at the same time there was a storm.

After the decline of the medium-wave and short -wave radio transmitter Cyclops, which was ( demolished in 2013) in addition to the station Sines in Portugal another transmitter Deutsche Welle outside of Germany in Europe, was shut down and dismantled in 1996.
