Delorean (Band)

Delorean is a band from Zarautz, Basque Country, which has existed since 2000.

History

Delorean was formed in 2000 by singer and bassist Ekhi Lopetegi and drummer Igor Escudeo in Zarautz, Spain. Between 2004 and 2006, the band released two albums and one EP, on which post-punk were combined with elements of electro. After 2007 the guitarist Tomas Palomo left the band and was replaced by Guillermo Astrain Delorean moved to Barcelona, ​​where they worked amplified at a more electronic sound. With remixes of songs by, among others Franz Ferdinand and The xx, the band gave increasingly attention in the international music press. After global concerts, inter alia, at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, published Delorean 2007 revised edition of their second album on the New York label Simple Social Graces. 2009 was followed by the Ayrton Senna EP. Published in 2010 Delorean their third album Subiza on the New York label True Panther Sounds.
