Delphin Strungk

Dolphin Strungk (also: Strunck; * 1601 probably in Brunswick, buried October 12, 1694 ) was an organist and composer of the north German organ school.

Life and work

About Strungks early years nothing is known. 1631 it is detectable as organist at the Marienkirche Wolfenbüttel as the successor Melchior Schildt. In 1634 he became court organist at Celle. 1637 he took over the post of organist at St. Martini in Braunschweig, but was hired two years later established.
