Delta Ophiuchi

δ Ophiuchi (Delta Ophiuchi ) is a star of spectral type M1 in the constellation Ophiuchus. It has an apparent magnitude of 2.7 mag and is about 170 light-years away from Earth.

He wears the proper names Yed Prior ( Arabic يد jad / Latin ), " front hand ".

Events

δ Ophiuchi was late in the evening (CEST ) of the 8th July, 2010 by the nearly 11 likes darker asteroids (472 ) Roma covered for about 5 seconds. This event was observed from Europe and South America. Because of the great brightness of δ Ophiuchi this event was theoretically visible to the naked eye.
