Democratic Renewal (Lebanon)

The Democratic Renewal Movement (Arabic حركة التجدد الديموقراطي, French Mouvement du renouveau démocratique ) is a political party in Lebanon.

In elections in May and June 2005, the party was part of the electoral alliance Rafik Hariri Martyr List, which was led by Saad al -Hariri and won the elections.

The party was founded in 2001 by a group of 50 Lebanese politicians, intellectuals and businessmen. Its chairman is Nassib Lahoud, who from 1991 to 2005, a Member of Parliament for the district al - Mitn.

The Democratic Renewal Movement is currently represented by an MP in the Lebanese National Assembly, Misbah Ahdab from Tripoli in northern Lebanon.
