Deng Pufang

Deng Pufang (Chinese邓朴方, Pinyin Deng Pufang, * April 1944, Zuoquan ( Shanxi ) ) is the first son of Deng Xiaoping and his wife Zhuo Lin, the name sought comrade Deng Liu Bocheng from.

Deng Pufang entered 1962 in the Peking University to study engineering and physics. During the Cultural Revolution, Deng family was persecuted; Deng Pufang was tortured and forced to a jump from the fourth floor. He has since become a paraplegic.

Since 1988, Deng Pufang is chairman and founder of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, which is especially dedicated to improving the life situation of disabled people in China. For his dedication to him of the Human Rights Award of the United Nations was granted in 2003.
