Denis Larkin

Denis Larkin ( b. 1908; † 2 July 1987) was an Irish politician and was from 1954 to 1961 and from 1965 to 1969 the lower house of the Irish Parliament to.

1954 Larkin was chosen for the Irish Labour Party in the 15th Dáil Éireann. However, after he retained his seat in the 16th Dáil Éireann, he could not defend in 1961 for election to the 17th Dáil him. In 1965 he was re-elected to the Dáil Éireann. In the next election Larkin opted not to run again.

In addition to his service as a Member Larkin belonged (now Dublin City Council ), at the Dublin City Council, Dublin Corporation for almost 30 years. During this period he held from 1955 to 1956, the Office of the Mayor of (Lord Mayor of Dublin).

Denis Larkin was the son of Irish labor leader James Larkin. Like him, he also was active in the trade union movement.
