Denis O'Donovan

Denis O'Donovan (Irish Donnchadh Ó Donnabháin, born July 23, 1955) is an Irish politician ( Fianna Fáil ) and Seanad Éireann since 2007 in the Senator.

O'Donovan studied at University College Cork, where he graduated in 1975.

In 1989 he was nominated by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern to Seanad Éireann senator in the 19th. In 1997 he was elected to Seanad Éireann 21, which he held until 2002, when he was elected to the 29th Dáil Éireann, belonged. O'Donovan had this for Fianna Fáil as a candidate already in the three previous elections in the constituency of Cork South -West. In the next elections in 2007, however, he could be there mandate not defend, instead he was re-elected to the Seanad Éireann. In 2011, he joined, now for the seventh time, in the constituency of Cork South - West to, but was unsuccessful as in the last election.
