Dennis Miller

Dennis Miller ( born November 3, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American actor, screenwriter and film producer.

Life and achievements

Miller has Scottish ancestors. He made his debut as an actor in 1985 in the comedy show Saturday Night Live, in which he appeared until 1991. During this time he also worked on the scripts of the show. From 1994 to 2002 he starred in the comedy show Dennis Miller Live, which he co-produced and for which he wrote screenplays. As a screenwriter, he won in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998 Emmy Award; in the years 1997 and 1999 he was nominated for an Emmy Award. As a producer, he was in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2000, nominated for an Emmy Award; In 1996 he won an Emmy Award. As a comedian, he was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1999. In the years 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001, he won the Writers Guild of America Award; in the years 2000 and 2003 he was nominated for the same price.

In the thriller Revelation (1994 ) Miller starred opposite Michael Douglas and Demi Moore the role of Mark Lewyn, in the thriller The Power (1995 ) he appeared alongside Sandra Bullock. For his performance in the TV show Dennis Miller: State of the Union Undressed (1995 ), he won the 1996 American Comedy Award. In the thriller Never Talk To Strangers - Playing with Fire (1995 ) he played the neighbor and friend of Dr. Sarah Taylor, the embodied Rebecca De Mornay. In the horror comedy Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood ( 1996), he played the lead role of private detective Rafe Guttman. For his performance in the television comedy The Raw Feed (2003) he was nominated for the 2003 Emmy Award.

He appears regularly on the show "The O'Reilly Factor " where he debated with Bill O 'Reilly satirical about current political issues. Both occur even live together on stage in a show titled " Bolder and Fresher ".

Miller is married to Ali Epsley since 1988 and has two children.
