Depressor septi nasi muscle

The depressor septi nasi ( " depressors of the nasal septum ") is a muscle tender skin between the nose and upper lip, which is part of the facial muscles. It originates in the incisive fossa of the maxilla, and is applied to the nasal septum (septum nasi). In the neck area it connects to part with the wing part of the musculus nasalis. The depressor septi nasi is an opponent of the other nasal muscles pulls the nose down and thus narrows the equilateral nostril.
