The house ghost is a German television series that was produced (12 episodes ) and Wilfried Dotzel from 1991 to 1993 by ZDF, directed by Ralf Gregan.

Content

Baroness Henriette of Sydeck lands after their villa will be demolished to make way for a thermal bath, completely surprised in the modern world. Desperate, she sets out to search for her old friend Patricia Weber. Since this is now deceased, she pushes but only to their nephew, the copywriter Ben Weber. This is very enthusiastic and tried to get rid of the affectionate spirit house. The however, brings his everyday life into chaos.

The series is often referred to as a German version of I Dream of Jeannie. Apart from that it is but is a familiar spirit and not a genie in Henrietta of Sydeck, there are also hardly ever content matches. While Jeannie for applying spells crosses his arms and nods his head, the familiar spirit blows on her outstretched index finger to allow, for example, floating objects.

In each episode many famous actors and voice actors appear in cameos, some more than once, including Alexander Herzog, Andrea Brix, Horst Pinnow, Eric Vaessen, Dieter Kursawe, Helmut Krauss, Christina Horn, Wolfgang Bahro, Martina Gedeck, Sky du Mont or Ralf Linder man.

Technology

The film tricks were designed by the company " Future Effects animation ". Partially worked with two cameras to realize the scenes in which objects disappear or Henriette of Sydeck itself.

DVD Release

On 14 July 2008, a DVD box set was released containing all 21 episodes on three DVDs of the two seasons. The image material was left in its original 4:3 aspect ratio, the sound is in mono and Dolby Digital 2.0 audio track before. As bonus material, an old interview with Stefan Behrens in ZDF Mittagsmagazin is included.
