The little monk is produced for ZDF television series of the genre comedy thriller (also called Schmunzelkrimi ), which was first broadcast in January 2002.

Action

The story is about the five monks at a monastery in Cologne, including Father Laurenzius (Dirk Bach). Laurenzius is friends with the Detective Chief Commissioner Ursula Foges, which he jokingly half always called " UFO". Instead of morning prayer or homeless - feeding is Laurenzius prefer hunting criminals and ends up very often in mortal danger. At the end of each episode the criminals of Foges be arrested.

Season 1

The first season includes seven episodes. It was aired every Tuesday at 19:25 clock on ZDF from January 8 to 26 February 2002. The first five episodes were repeated from November 25 to December 23, 2003.

Season 2

The second season includes nine episodes, it was sent on the same day at the same time from 23 September to 18 November 2003 on ZDF. After the second season, the series was discontinued due to lack of success.
