The teacher is a German comedy television series about the teacher Stefan Vollmer. The main characters are Hendrik Duryn and Jessica Ginkel. Was directed by Dominic Müller, Nico Zingelmann and Peter Gersina. The previous two seasons were broadcast on the private channels RTL Television, 2009 and 2013/2014.

Action
The sitcom is about Stefan Vollmer, a teacher of German, science and sports. After a long absence of these returns after 10 years back to the teaching profession back. It soon turns out to be his new workplace, the total school Georg Hoff sword, as a problem area. In the corridors anarchy and Stefan Vollmer will soon shut down as an expert on the "G " course, in which it is the most chaotic class of the whole school. With alternative, unconventional methods and a different approach, however, he soon brings the students behind and make it thus, through and change according to their attitude towards the school.

Production
The series was produced in 2007, but erstausgestrahlt until two years later, as allegedly lacked the interest of the audience. In the first showing the approximately half-hour episodes have been sent in double block.
In 2011, it was decided at RTL to a new edition of the series. The new episodes are not produced in the sitcom - length of 25 minutes net, but in the ordinary series length of 45 minutes. Filming took place from April to August 2012 in Cologne. Supporting cast from the first season, Follow Jessica Ginkel and Matthias Klimsa can be seen in the new one. The broadcasting of the eight new episodes done since December 5, 2013.
