Derek Riggs

Derek Riggs ( born February 13, 1958 in Portsmouth) is a British contemporary artists. He achieved fame through his creation of the mascot Eddie the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Since the first Iron Maiden single Running Free and later the first Iron Maiden album Iron Maiden Riggs designed over 60 covers for the band - each with variations of Eddie topic. When to Cover Somewhere in Time Riggs began references to old albums and songs of the band installed. This way of playing, the cover artwork is used by him again and again, so also the album Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, the seventh album by Iron Maiden. Here immortalized Riggs the six previous versions of the Eddie theme in the ice. Also designed for other bands Riggs cover, among other things, Stratovarius and Gamma Ray. Riggs lives and works in the UK.
