Thinking

Content of his books is a radical critique of contemporary society and its values. Jensen believes that civilization is founded on violence and existentially based on this. He claims that modern industrial society stand fundamentally at odds with a healthy relationship to the natural environment and indigenous peoples. In A Language Older Than Words Jensen responded to the violence in the private sphere associated with aggression in Western cultures. He comes to the conclusion that the prevalence of such destructiveness itself indicates that in reality it was the core idea of civilization. In The Culture of Make Believe, he deals with racism and misogyny.

Jensen's conclusion is that the current Western economic system leads inevitably to hatred and violence. Accordingly, he exhorts his readers to bring about an end to industrial civilization, or accelerate this. Jensen is attributed to the spectrum of the predominantly North American post -left anarchism, many of his positions also coincide with those of the eco - anarchism, of primitivism and the Neotribalismus.
