Derrubadas

Derrubadas on the map of Rio Grande do Sul

Derrubadas is a town of 3424 inhabitants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. It is located about 480 km northwest of Porto Alegre on the border with Argentina ( Misiones province ). Adjacent are the places Barra do Guarita, Esperança do Sul, Vista Gaúcha and Tenente Portela. Originally Derrubadas was part of the Tenente Portela Munizips.

About half of the area of the Parque Estadual do Derrubadas takes Turvo with a 1800m long waterfall Salto Yucuma.
