Desktop replacement computer
A DESKNOTE (also desktop replacement computer or DTR) is a portable computer. The term is a contraction of desktop and notebook.
For notebooks with a screen size greater than 18.4 inches is usually dispensed with an internal battery. Laptops with 17 - and 18.4- inch form factor usually integrate a lithium - ion battery, the running time on battery power is low, and secondary for a DTR notebook. Even DTRs with strong batteries last much longer than 2 hours by; independent one is with a DESKNOTE from a power source ( wall outlet ) does not.
Benefits

Disadvantages
- Low battery life
- Chunky dimensions and heavy weight
- Tend to have lower performance than PCs
Desknotes represent a hybrid of portable and desktop systems; a compromise between the advantages of both. They are suitable for users who need a powerful computer and go every now and then their location.
