Desmond Howard

Desmond Kevin Howard ( born May 15, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of wide receiver, and the Returners. Howard is one of only four players who have the Heisman Trophy, as well as the title of Super Bowl MVP won in their careers both.

Career

He began his career with the University of Michigan, where he played from 1989 to 1991. There he won the Heisman Trophy in 1991, the highest award that can be given to a college player. Professionally, he played in the National Football League ( NFL) for the Washington Redskins (1992-1994 ), Jacksonville Jaguars (1995), Green Bay Packers (1996 and 1999), Oakland Raiders ( 1997-1998) and the Detroit Lions (1999 - 2002). He was given the honor of being elected to the Super Bowl MVP of the Super Bowl XXXI. He is the only "special teams " player in the history of the Super Bowl, who has won this award.

Howard now works for ESPN as a college football commentator.
