Destiny is the title of the seventh studio album by the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius. It was published on 5 October 1998, but ended up by the high number of pre-orders a week before the release date No. 1 on the Finnish album charts. The album included a children's choir, as well as several violins was used. Among the violinists there was also Toppinen, a member of the then little-known band Apocalyptica. The cover of the album is based on an oil painting of Marco Bernard.

The Japanese edition contains the last song Dream with Me instead of the song Cold Winter Nights.
Singles
S.O.S.
The single S.O.S. appeared in August 1998 and reached # 2 on the singles chart in Finland. The CD contained, inter alia, Blackout with a cover song by the German rock band Scorpions.
