Detention - The lesson is called survival! is an American action thriller from 2003, directed by Sidney J. Furie. The main role is played by Dolph Lundgren.

Action

Sam Decker leads his team through an order in Bosnia. During his mission he set and to his team that the terrorists that are to liquidate them keep children trapped. In an attempt to rescue the children and kill the terrorists who dies a little girl and Sam left the army. Ten years later he worked as a history and physical education teacher at a high school in Los Angeles. But even in school are rough manners. Sam announces that he sees no point in teaching children who are interested in either school or good grades and only needs to take his job one day. The headmaster convinces Sam to a last Nachsitzstunde in which he must serve students who have violated the school runs. Due to a pregnant student, he decides that detention after a short time break, but two students have already escaped from the Nachsitz classroom and run into the school around. Since it's Friday, the school with the help of electronic locks is completely closed. A gang of criminals, consisting of the leaders Chester Lamb, his girlfriend and two small Hungarian criminals want to use the school as a base camp for a raid on a drug transporter, but not knowing that there are still students. Now Sam must try to help the student to survive and the criminals put a stop to what they ultimately succeed.

The film is the first collaboration between Dolph Lundgren and Sidney J. Furie. Dolph Lundgren also later worked in the film Direct Action along with Sidney J. Furie.
