Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei

The German Zeppelin - Reederei GmbH ( DZR ) is an airline based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance.

It was founded in January 2001 and is a 100 percent subsidiary of the Zeppelin airship GmbH, for which they in conventional air traffic, inter alia, takes the operation of airships, comparable to an airline.

A company under the name of German Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH was thus founded after 1935 for the second time. At that time the German Zeppelin - Reederei GmbH was established by the Air Zeppelin GmbH with state participation as a travel company for Zeppelin airships into life.

In addition to passenger flights, the DZR marketed today, the oversized advertising space (approx. 2,000 m² ) of Friedrichshafen stationed Zeppelin NT.

Passenger flights were offered from site Friedrichshafen on the Bodensee, but also about Stuttgart and Berlin until now.

Another important task is the training for airship pilots. For this additional training as regular pilot's license on the basis of the German air law 24 months are estimated. Theory, practice and tests are carried out at the DZR in Friedrichshafen.

In fiscal 2006, the first time the DZR achieved balanced operating results.
