Devean George

Devean Jamar George ( born August 29, 1977 in Minneapolis ) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a small forward, but can also play as a shooting guard because of his athleticism.

He attended the Benilde -St. Margaret's High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. During his college basketball career at Augsburg College, he was elected twice ( 1997-98 and 1998-99 ) as the MVP of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

In the 1999 NBA Draft he was selected as 23 of the LA Lakers. He was given his defensive qualities and his three-point throws an important player of the Lakers, with whom he won the NBA Championship three times (2000-2002).

In 2006, he joined as a free agent with the Dallas Mavericks. In July 2009, he was traded along with Antoine Wright for Shawn Marion to the Toronto Raptors, passed by them in the same month, nor against Marco Belli Nelli to the Golden State Warriors. There he played until the end of the season. Since then he is a free agent.
