Dia Mirza

Diya Mirza (including Dia Mirza, Hindi: दिया मिर्ज़ा, Diya Mirza, born December 9, 1981 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh ) is an Indian Bollywood actress and model.

Biography

Mirza's father, Frank Handrich, was a German interior designer. Her mother, Deepa Mirza, Bengali is. Her parents divorced when Diya was six years old. Her father died three years later, and her mother remarried Ahmed Mirza whose surname Diya accepted. Ahmed Mirza died in 2004.

She attended high school in Hyderabad and later Nasr School in Kushnuma. Today she lives in Bandra, Mumbai.

In 2000, she was chosen as the Miss Asia Pacific. She was also third in the Miss India - election in 2000. Was first Lara Dutta, who won at the next Miss Universe choice, and also won the runner-up Miss India 2000 Priyanka Chopra, the Miss World title.

Her film debut was with the film Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein, which was a failure. This was followed by other unsuccessful films. It was not until the year 2005, she first played smaller roles in larger productions, including in Parineeta ( 2005).
