Dialogue in the Dark

In Dialogue in the Dark is a social franchise company, which was founded by Andreas Heinecke. The aim is to bring people closer to seeing the daily lives of the blind.

Exhibition in Hamburg

Dialogue in the Dark is an exhibition located in the middle of Hamburg's Speicherstadt.

In a completely darkened rooms blind lead the audience into small groups by an exhibition. Smells, wind, temperatures, sounds and textures, a park, a city or a bar is designed.

Besides the exhibition, the concept also offers the Dinner in the Dark Banquet programs such as Fairy Tales and readings in the dark.

Vienna

History

The first exhibitions were temporarily in spring 1993 at the Natural History Museum, from 1995 in the Exhibition Palace, now the Museum Quarter and since 2002 in the Abbey of the Scots instead. The first long- planned exhibition was to experience from 2006 to 2008 in the Wiener Stadthalle. For the first time under the leadership of former employees and even affected celebrated Dialogue in the Dark in the fall of 2009 a comeback in Schottenstift.

Graz

2007-2009 a " Dialogue in the Dark " was shown exhibit at Children's Museum Frida and Fred. A given out for educators manual also offers suggestions for preparing for the visit, which was recommended age 8 years. The 30 minute guided tour in the dark is complemented by workshops in the light.
