Diapaga

Diapaga is the capital of the province Tapoa in the extreme east of Burkina Faso, located on the National Road N19 between Kantchari and Arly. The population consists mainly of Gourmantché. Diapaga is mid-17th century by Hausa were established from Bornu. According to legend, these are said to have crossed the Niger on a giant python.

In the southeast of the city lies the cross-border W National Park, southwest of the National Park Arly.
