Dick Miller

Richard " Dick" Miller ( born December 25, 1928 in the Bronx, New York City ) is an American actor.

Life and career

Miller was born in the Bronx in New York City. He went to the City College of New York and later at Columbia University. Then he went to Broadway and worked part-time at Bellevue Hospital Center and the Queens General Hospital. In 1952, he moved to Los Angeles, California and was looking for work there as a writer. There, the film producer and director Roger Corman was aware of him, and casted him for several of his low-budget films. Miller worked with him for over 20 years together. In addition, he served several years in the U.S. Navy as a boxer and won a title at middleweight.

Miller continued to play with in the early productions of Joe Dante and James Cameron. He also directed a few TV shows as an example, in 1986 a series of Miami Vice called "The Fix". Large international notoriety gained Miller as Murray Futterman in Gremlins - Little Monsters (1984) and Gremlins 2 - The Gremlins (1990).
