The school lake was a German youth series, which was filmed from 1997 to 2000.
Content
The focus of the series are the teacher Vera Duke, which comes as a new teacher in the boarding Castle Lütin, and the living group of Prince Häusler, which is almost dissolved at the start of series because of their problems. The Prince Häusler are: Alf Fürneisen, Antonia Hauke , Charlotte Crispin, called Lolle, Eric Weidner, Charles of Sassnitz, called Carlie, Mario Kofler, Nina King and Stefan Witznik.
The Prince Häusler fight this with the typical problems that arise in the school environment and in their age, such as a conflict with parents, first love, etc.
Vera Duke is private between the school principal Henning Seld and the sports teacher Fritz Bülow. The former, however, the leaves school at the end of the first season and so Vera Duke may finally be headmistress of a boarding. At the end of the third season finally leaves also Vera Duke due to a brain tumor Lütin Castle and Princes Häusler are made from then on to itself.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack was released in 1997 on CD.
Radiations
The series has so far sent three times. The first two times, from 1997 to 1998 and from 1999 to 2000 it was broadcast by the ARD, the last time from 2006 to 2007 in the NDR.
Background
The school on the lake was filmed mostly in Schleswig -Holstein in Plön. As the scene was especially the castle area with the Plön Castle, commander of Villa and the girls' house.
Small actors and extras were mostly - as is usual in such cases - cast locally.
The fictional place Lüttin was adopted by the 1971 shot in Plön family series small town train station.
The standard three books have been published by Jenny Bentin: A hot reception, gigolos and playing with fire.
