Diego Fasolis

Diego Fasolis ( born April 19, 1958 in Lugano ) is a Swiss conductor and organist. He is a specialist in Baroque music.

Career

Fasolis studied in Zurich organ and choral conducting and completed more master classes in France and Italy. In 1985 and 1986 he performed the complete organ works of Bach, Mendelssohn and Liszt as well as other classical composers. He was awarded numerous prizes. In 1986 he was hired by the Italian-speaking Switzerland, radio (Radio Svizzera ) was founded in 1993 and principal conductor of the local instrumental ensembles and choir.

Fasolis specialized in Baroque music and founded in 1995, the Instrumentalensamble Vanitas, Lugano. Three years later he took over the management of I Barocchisti, with which he made ​​numerous recordings of works by Bach, Handel and Vivaldi.
