Diego Luna

Diego Luna Alexander ( born December 29, 1979 in Mexico City) is a Mexican actor.

Life

As Diego was three years old, he lost his mother. In the same year he first stood in front of the camera. In the 1990s, several appearances followed as an actor in small Mexican film and television productions. His first international success was the Tu Mamá También feature film Y - Lust for Life, for which he received the Marcello Mastroianni Award - winning collaboration with Gael García Bernal at the Film Festival in Venice. After a supporting role in Frida, a film adaptation of the life of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, he was in 2004 with his portrayal of a poor hotel staff in the U.S. film Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights, for which he learned to dance as successful as with supporting roles in Kevin Costner's Open Range - The Big Country and Steven Spielberg's terminal.

On the 63rd International Film Festival in Cannes Diego Luna presented his directorial debut Abel, the story of a little traumatized boy who believes he is the husband of his single mother.

Since February 5, 2008, he is married to Mexican actress Camila Sodi, who he had met during the filming of The Night Buffalo. On August 12, 2008 Camila Sodi brought a son into the world. In July 2010, his wife gave birth to the second child together, a daughter, on the world.
