Diego Walsh

Diego Walsh ( born December 8, 1979 in Santos) is a Brazilian footballer who also has the American citizenship. The midfielder is since 2009 in the A-League Wellington Phoenix under contract.

Career

Walsh played four years in the United States at Southern Methodist University and was elected to the NSCAA All- America first team ( college all-star team ) in the years 2001 and 2002. In MLS SuperDraft 2003 he was elected Columbus Crew in the first round in seventh place. Walsh came to Columbus but behind Kyle Martino hard to use time.
