Dieter Bakeloh

Dieter Bokeloh ( born January 28, 1942 in Benneckenstein ) is a former German ski jumper.

Career

Bokeloh, who went to the starting line for the ASK forward Oberhof, celebrated his first success in the GDR Championships 1961., Where he won behind Werner Lesser on the normal hill silver medal. In the same year he launched in December at the Four Hills Tournament 1961 /62. After a 34th place in Innsbruck he landed in Bischofshofen on the Paul Ausserleitner hill surprising fourth. However, since he assumed only in these two competitions in Austria handed it to the end only to rank 65 in the overall standings of the Tour. Also in the Four Hills Tournament 1962/63 he did not start at all but just jumping in Innsbruck, where he was ranked 11. He was ranked 69 overall. In the GDR Championships 1963 in Klingenthal he finished 10th. In the same year he won the ski flying week, an international panel on ski jump competition in Europe.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 in Innsbruck, he landed on the Bergiselschanze with jumps of 92, 83 and 83.5 meters just behind the medals in fourth place. A short time later, he won the bronze medal at the East German championships. This two years later he succeeded again. In the Four Hills Tournament 1965/66 he started for the first time in all four events, finishing in 19th place in the Tour overall standings and reached his best result.

In the GDR Championships 1967 he won together with Dieter Neuendorf, Alfred Lesser and Martin Weber in the team competition bronze.
